Well. I just got some excellent news. One of my best friends, who happens to live in LA, is definitely going to be in town the weekend of the con. That means it looks like I'm gonna go. The only problem is that the guest list isn't exactly blowing my skirt up. Wendy Padbury is friggin' awesome in every way, but there needs to be a Doctor there! Or Frazer Hines for a whole Second Doctor love-fest.

Any of you people know anyone who's in charge of this shindig? Encourage them to call Frazer! Ooo, or Peter Davison! NEEDZ MOAR DOCTORS!

Hmm. Greyhound would get me there and back for seventy-two bucks but I'd need to find a way to get from the Greyhound station to the hotel and I'd still have to find someone who'd let me sleep on the floor when I wouldn't be able to pay them for the room. Gah. If I'd known the economy would plummet I would have watched my money better last summer.

Maybe I might get really, really lucky and get some decent Christmas money from family. Or a decent amount of work next week and Christmas week.

(I will have classes that week, argh. And it will only be the second week so I don't particularly want to miss 'em. And at least I don't have classes on Fridays. I guess I can catch the nine o'clock bus on Thursday and get there at seven Friday morning, but if I want to be back in town in time to go to class on Monday I'll need to catch the bus back at THREE IN THE MORNING. Bah. Well, at least I'm used to sleeping on busses, if not very soundly.)
