Nothing but memes.

And HAPPY FRIDAY to the rest of the world!
But since I am not doing a damn thing until at least 6pm (oh how I love a good lazy day off), I'm in the mood for yet another meme. Come on, you know they're fun! I snagged this one from

Pick a fandom (or two) and I'll tell you:
1. The first character I fell in love with.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates.
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer.
6. The character I would shag anytime.
7. The character I'd want to be like.
8. The character I'd slap.
9. A pairing that I love.
10. A pairing that I hate.
My fandoms are: Doctor Who, Ashes to Ashes, Star Trek:TOS or TNG, Star Wars, Xena, X-files, James Bond, Farscape, Lexx, Torchwood, Heroes, Firefly, BSG, Batman...and anything else you know I've watched.

on 2008-07-06 02:41 am (UTC)YES! And they are all clearly insane. Xena was one of my first online fandoms and holy hell, that shit was crazy. This was back in the day of usenet and mailing lists and there was SO MUCH WANK. All the homophobes who refused to see Xena/Gabrielle and the angry responses from the X/G fans, newgroups created and destroyed, people just generally freaking out after every episode. Looking back, I think that fandom helped make me the wank-averse fan I am today. I didn't know any better back then. ;-)
It's fun to play "spot the Kiwi actor" with Xena, too. I can't see Karl Urban in anything without thinking of Julius Caesar or Cupid.
Ha! I just recently watched Chronicles of Riddick again and it cracked me up. Like you, I'll never be able to stop seeing him with wings.

on 2008-07-06 02:51 am (UTC)Wow, I had no idea that Joxer was so well-liked. And even a blind person could see Gabrielle/Xena! That went so far further than just subtext.
I'd love to look up some Xena fanfiction and that but I'm now slightly scared of the fandom.

But it's so jam packed full of fiction it might be completely overwhelming.

on 2008-07-06 03:10 am (UTC)Speaking of wanky fandoms, I'm staying well away from Doctor Who comms for the next while. The aftermath of Whomageddon looks to be epic.
are you planning to post on Journey's End?

I'm actually pretty excited about it, to be honest. I kind of enjoy wanksplosions when I am not an active participant. Especially when they end up on fandom wank, because that place is utterly hilarious.
