I AM SO PROUD OF YOU ALL!!!
Mar. 29th, 2011 08:37 pmI disappear for a while, then come back to discover that my flist loves My Little Pony! THE JOY! I resisted the call of the ponies at first, but then I finally gave in and watched an ep. Then I watch EVERY ep. Then I realized that I am utterly, UTTERLY captivated by these ponies and the animation and the excellent messages and the positive portrayals of female friendships and PINKIE PIE!!!! Oh, Pinkie Pie. How I adore you and your randomness.
So, yes. Seriously. If you haven't given MLP: Friendship is Magic a try, you are missing something truly special.

And yes. There really IS a pony named Doctor Hooves. HAHAHAHAHA.

on 2011-03-30 02:35 am (UTC)I am inordinately charmed by all the ponies' expressions, though. They look so bouncy!

on 2011-03-30 06:26 am (UTC)I used to collect these babies back in the eighties. Me and my little sister had this, like, giant box of them. THEY WERE SO AWESOME. I also may have had a little MLP pup tent. Um. Yeah. Anyway, you need to watch the Friendship Is Magic stuff, for it is the best and youtubes has it, but the original cartoon was also pretty cool. They ended up fighting half of the D&D Monster Manual.
To quote the Where I Watch My Little Pony Guy, "Dream Valley is constantly out to kill you. It's like Australia, Sunnydale and Ravenloft met at an orgy, and spawned this abberation, then woke up in the morning and freaked out when they realized Care-A-Lot and Disneyland had also participated."
(Sadly I do not have a MLP icon. THIS MUST BE CORRECTED.)

on 2011-03-30 08:18 pm (UTC)But honestly, go read Kimono's House, it's a masterpiece. Minty is my most coveted MLP doll now, after 20 years pining for Buttons, and it's all because of this comic - though ooh, Pinkie Pie's hypnotic eyes in your icon are trying to make me change my mind...
