Ok. So, I listened to the second Six/Jamie audio Wreck of the Titan last night and...well, I have things to say about it. But, more importantly, I am absolutely FREAKING OUT about Legacy of the Cybermen because HOLY CRAP.
ZOOOOOOOEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
How did I not know they were bringing back ZOE?!?!?!?!
I am beside myself. BESIDE MYSELF WITH GLEEEEEE. Oh, man. Oh MAN. This is just...yeah. So awesome it hurts me. They better not screw this up or I will cry big, fat, salty tears of woe.
But, anyway. I love Six and Jamie together. Absolutely LOVE them. As I said before, I think City of Spires was incredibly great. Wreck of the Titan was a bit of a let down after such an amazing start. The biggest problem I had with this story was that Six and Jamie spent most of it apart. What the hell? Why would the writer waste so many beautiful opportunities for bonding to have them spend the majority of the audio with other people? Six had these gorgeous scenes on the iceberg with this totally random dude of the week. Why couldn't they have been with Jamie? Saving JAMIE from a polar bear. Convincing JAMIE to keep going. Who the hell cares about some random dude we're never going to see again? And to then have Jamie spend most of the audio with some annoying woman with yet another horrendous "American" accent?
UGH.
On the bright side, Alexander Siddig delivered yet another magnificent BF performance, and there wasn't anything in the audio that actively sucked. I thought it was a lot more of a squandered opportunity than anything else. And the opening scene was MAGICAL. Talk about Doctor/Jamie as text. The Doctor wants to take Jamie somewhere special. On a date. So he BLINDFOLDS HIM. And he's gonna pick out an outfit for him to wear that will look good with his kilt. I couldn't even believe what I was listening to. Their love really does transcend all time and space, doesn't it? ;-)
But after that opening, the rest was a bit of a letdown. Still. ZOE! Can't WAIT.
