Jesus. He is so hot. My first thought when I saw this was I want a fic where he fights zombies. Him and his bandaged hand along with his trusty shotgun. Yeah, if they ever have him fire a shotgun or gun I will spontaneously combust along with half of fandom.

I love you for thinking of this. It's just so massively kick ass. I may cry. It's like everything I could ever want. Someone must write this! Flamethrowers? HELL yes.

Nathan would want to just grab Peter and fly away immediately , but Peter would refuse to leave because there are innocent people to save and he needs them to be heroes. So instead of fleeing, Peter would be running around trying to save people and Nathan would be right there protecting Peter with his life and bitching about it non-stop but still being a massive bad ass about the whole thing.

This has to happen.

Season two Nathan is SO made of win! THANK you for seeing that. It seems like everyone is all complain-y and whiney, saying how this season isn't as good as the first. Personally, I couldn't care less about this season's weaker plots. Because watching Nathan fall from such heights and be so utterly destroyed after losing everything in the world that means anything to him, and seeing him try so hard to make things right...nothing could be more awesome. It's like the greatest fanfic plot EVER come to life.

It is! I completely agree. It's like they broke the old Nathan when they took everything and this one is rougher and stronger and no longer cares about the things from season one that nearly ruined everything. He's harder, more reckless he's now got that slight anti-hero edge as he fights on the side of good, and I love him to pieces like this.

Yes! I am such a sucker for these types of character-arcs and they've done such a brilliant job here. Last season he was so cold and arrogant so much of the time that I couldn't HELP but fall in love with him. I think I am always so weak for the morally-grey bastard characters for the very reason that they become so magnificent when they have nothing left to lose. Stronger, harder, so much more than they were.

I'm not kidding about the fanfic part. janissa11 and I would always joke about how much she loves to drop pianos on her characters and how that is like my favorite thing ever. Break them down and watch them try to build themselves back up. So damn good.

This is Peter exactly. And yes, Nathan would make smart ass remarks when he realized he couldn't just force Peter to leave for safety. He tried that and Peter just left right back out.

Then they'd have sex and Nathan would make Peter promise not to leave him, because he needed Peter.

After a few rescue missions, Nathan would get into saving people and shooting zombies in the head.

There must be somewhere we can pimp this idea. I mean it's BEGGING to be written. And the writers in this fandom have embraced WAY crackier ideas. I mean there is already Petrellicest mpreg and wingfic. Zombies are SO far superior.

I may explore this zombie fighting apocafic with a nice dose of petrellicest. Crack fic should be indulged because it reminds me of why writing is fun. And any excuse to have Nathan shoot a shotgun, then have sex with Peter is my definite idea of fun.

Anymore ideas on what should happen? I figure they've been fighting zombies for about two months, when the story opens up. Maybe a paragraph or two to sum up what's been going on.

Nathan and Peter have a homebase somewhere hard to reach. They go out and fight, look for survivors and supplies. Go back to their hideout/mission center and clean weapons and track stuff on their big map of the U.S.

Maybe they coordinate by phone or cb radio on where to bring survivors with Mohinder.

Oh, I *completely* agree! Crackfic is some of the greatest shit fandom has to offer.

I also like the idea of the story taking place sometime after they've developed a routine. The only other thing I'd want is a flashback to them first discovering the zombies. Because the idea of Nathan wanting to fly Pete to safety and Peter resisting because they need to SAVE people (said in his typical Nathan-manipulating tone) is just too good not to see. But the bulk of the story could be about them clinging to each other and doing what they can to save people and protect the survivors. Maybe it's a 28 days later kind of scenario where it's a virus and not true zombiism? Something the Company is responsible for, maybe? Just brainstorming.
