Snagged this from [livejournal.com profile] lizbee because it looked like fun and I've been sick all day so it's not like I had anything better to do. And you know what? She was SO RIGHT. This is CRAZY hard. Not because there aren't a billion badass chick characters, but because I've forgotten half the crap I've seen/read.

I know I've left off some REALLY obvious ones, but what the hell. I stuck to mainly tv series/movies because if I started on books too I'd have been at this all night.

You have inspired me to go through my entire bookcase for names.

Oh awesome! I'm going to sit down and have a go at this. And when I finally finish it and post I'll go "OH SHI I FORGOT HER AND HER AND HER."

Of course! I've been reading other people's lists and smacking myself for not thinking of a bunch of their picks. But damn, was it fun. ;-)

Man, now I'm seeing a whole bunch of names I left off - as well as some shows and series I keep meaning to watch whose absence from my knowledge is depriving me of a whole slew of awesome ladies. Must watch more TV scifi, yes.

Which shows do you mean? I haven't watched any new tv series in a long time, but older series? I'm all over that. ;-)

The other Trek series, mostly - TNG, DS9, and Voyager seem to have quite a few female characters I should know. Same with Farscape and Andromeda, neither of which I've seen because I was pretty young when Farscape came on TV and my dad wouldn't let me watch it yet. :(

I didn't realize how young you are! Yes. Definitely get the dvds. Farscape in particular is very much worth watching.

You know, up until you said that, I hadn't even realized that I was ten when the series started. Yikes.

I CAN'T BELIEVE I FORGOT ANGELA CHASE. And Rayanne. And Clarice Starling. Gah, this thing is lethal. There should be a second round reverse-amnesty, where you get to mention all the people that you forgot but fellow awesome women reminded you of with their own lists.

Yes! I totally need like 25 more spaces now. This meme was fun as hell but also very frustrating.
