I love the idea of this one, so I snurched it from [livejournal.com profile] technosage. I snipped it a bit, though because I feel like I've done the OTP meme a bunch of times and I don't even have any on-going fandoms right now.

So, without further ado...

A. "Has my portrayal of a character(s) changed the way you think of him/her?"

B. Pick one of my RP characters (Dinah Lance/Black Canary, Sally Jupiter/Silk Spectre, Bernice Summerfield, Chiana) and I'll answer the following questions about him or her.
1. What would your character kill for? What would they die for?
2. What would they refuse to do under any circumstances? Why?
3. What do they dream about?
4. What’s their biggest fear?
5. What single object would they be most hard pressed to part with? Why?
6. What is their fondest memory?
7. What is their worst memory?
8. What or who was were their most significant influence? Expound.
9. What do they believe makes a successful life?
10. What makes them laugh?
11. What are their religious views?
12. What is their greatest strength?
13. Do they have a fatal flaw? If so, what is it?
14. Who is the most important person in their life?
15. If they died, who would miss them most? How would they die?

1. Benny's changed the way I see the Doctor. Seeing him from the perspective of old companions really informs who he is.

2. Chiana!

A) That is probably the most awesome thing you could have said.

B)1. What would your character kill for? What would they die for?

She'd kill to protect herself or the ones she loves. She'd kill if she thought the person deserved it. She'd kill to save herself from capture. She has killed and doesn't regret it.

She'd die to protect the people who rely on her. She'd die before letting herself be taken back to Nebari Prime and mind-cleansed. She understands that there are fates worse than death.

2. What would they refuse to do under any circumstances? Why?

Betray her brother. Allow her people to mind-cleanse her. For the reasons above.

3. What do they dream about?

Having her brother alive and safe with her. Not being afraid anymore.

4. What’s their biggest fear?

Losing herself and her freedom. Whether that's through mind-cleansing or prison or becoming a slave. It's all the same in the end.

5. What single object would they be most hard pressed to part with? Why?

She has no objects that mean anything to her.

6. What is their fondest memory?

The first planet she and Nerri arrived on after escaping Nebari Prime. Turning to look at him and seeing the joy in his eyes. Believing, for the first time, that they could actually be free.

7. What is their worst memory?

The life-disc going dark. Knowing that Nerri was gone. Nothing will ever be worse than that.

8. What or who was were their most significant influence? Expound.

Nerri. He's the only person in the universe that has ever really loved her. That she's ever truly trusted. He is, was, her entire world.

9. What do they believe makes a successful life?

Freedom. Doing what makes you feel good. Never having to apologize.

10. What makes them laugh?

Anything. Everything. Pleasure, good company, a new experience...

11. What are their religious views?

None. The Nebari have no gods and she's never needed any.

12. What is their greatest strength?

Adaptability. It's what has kept her alive despite being young, vulnerable and alone in a very dangerous universe.

13. Do they have a fatal flaw? If so, what is it?

A fatal flaw? That's pretty intense. I suppose her risk-taking and adrenaline addiction are her fatal flaws. She doesn't think about the consequences if there is a high to be had.

14. Who is the most important person in their life?

It was Nerri. Now, I suppose it's Roy.

15. If they died, who would miss them most? How would they die?

No one. Roy, I suppose. The crew of Moya would have if she wasn't in-game. She'll die violently. I don't think there's any doubt about that. Taking the wrong risk.

Now now. Sam says he'd miss her. Or, well, he'd be sorry she was gone anyway. <3

Awww. I think eventually other people would miss her, but it's still early. And she doesn't trust easily enough to make friends quickly.

A Definitely Dinah. Hated her due to Smallville's crap version but you have made me lovelovelove her.

B Sally! DUH!

A) YAY! Oh, I love Dinah so much it's stupid. I'm glad I was able to redeem her a bit for you.

B) 1. What would your character kill for? What would they die for?

In self-defense. She has no real moral objection to killing in defense. As far as dying, she'd die for her child (if she had one). She'd die to protect ANY child. But that's about it.

2. What would they refuse to do under any circumstances? Why?

I've sat here thinking about this and thinking about it. In-game, as a young woman, I don't think there is anything she'd refuse to do under any circumstances. Just because she's an average human being. Depending on what was at risk, how could she know where the line would be drawn? Add to that the fact that she can be both shallow and vain...well, it's hard to say. She's mostly a good person, but she isn't a superhero.

3. What do they dream about?

Fame and fortune, baby. Fame and fortune.

4. What’s their biggest fear?

Obscurity. Poverty. I think some combination of the two.

5. What single object would they be most hard pressed to part with? Why?

Her Silk Spectre costume. No matter what happens in her life she can always look back and remember when she was a hero. When she was famous and the whole world was in love with her.

6. What is their fondest memory?

The first time she saw her picture on the front page of the newspaper. She'd finally made it.

7. What is their worst memory?

She was 12 years old and an older boy who lived in her building used to follow her around all the time. Watching her. One night her mother was passed out drunk and her father was out somewhere gambling. She'd forgotten the key her apartment and he offered to let her stay with him until her mother woke up. She knew she shouldn't have gone with him. She promised herself she'd never make a mistake like that again.

8. What or who was were their most significant influence? Expound.

Her mother. But not in the way anyone thinks. Her mother was a miserable, drunken, angry, bitter woman who blamed her husband and Sally for losing her looks. For getting old. For being poor and pathetic. Sally swore as a young girl that she would NEVER become her mother. That she would MAKE something of herself. That the world would NOTICE her.

9. What do they believe makes a successful life?

Fame and fortune. ;-)

10. What makes them laugh?

Slapstick, oddly enough. She doesn't really get the more modern, raunchy comedy.

11. What are their religious views?

She was raised Roman Catholic but she never had any use for the church. She left that behind along with her Polish surname and her family history.

12. What is their greatest strength?

Her ambition. She was a poor, uneducated daughter of immigrant parents living in a New York City ghetto. She became one of the most famous, most desired women in the world through sheer ambition. Not bad.

13. Do they have a fatal flaw? If so, what is it?

Vanity. The overwhelming need to be desired by strangers. She doesn't really understand what love is, she just needs the attention. It's what drives her, but it's also what could destroy her.

14. Who is the most important person in their life?

Eddie. For all the wrong reasons.

15. If they died, who would miss them most? How would they die?

In Gotham? Tyrion. Zoe. Tony. Out of Gotham? Eddie.

How would she die? Old age, hopefully. Probably liver failure, if we were going to be completely honest.

1. Well, you made me aware of the fact that Benny existed. The jury may still be out on whether that's a good thing.

2. Benny. Obvs.

A) Dude. SUCH a good thing. Don't even play.

B)1. What would your character kill for? What would they die for?

She'd die to save the universe or just one soul. Though she'd do her damn best to make sure they all LIVED. She'd kill to protect herself. To protect an innocent. To protect the people she loves. She has killed for those very reasons. She wishes it wasn't necessary, but she's far too practical and far too much of a survivor to pretend it isn't.

2. What would they refuse to do under any circumstances? Why?

She likes to believe she has lines. That she would, for example, never kill a child. Or never torture someone. But the older she gets and the more horrors she faces, the less those lines can hold. She'll do what she has to do. It always depends on the circumstances.

I think perhaps the only thing she'd NEVER do is give up on the Doctor.

3. What do they dream about?

Being a little girl back on Beta Caprisis. With her mum and dad still safe and alive. Benny knows that most of those memories or dreams are made up but it doesn't matter. It's only in dreams that she can even remember what her mother looked like. She'll take whatever she can get.

4. What’s their biggest fear?

Losing her mind. Having all the things that make her who she is stripped away until there's nothing left.

5. What single object would they be most hard pressed to part with? Why?

I would say Wolsey, but he's not an object. So, I'll go with her diary.

6. What is their fondest memory?

The Doctor taking her to see the birth of a galaxy. The TARDIS doors opened and she could see the exact moment when it all exploded into existence. She'd never felt so small and insignificant in her life. It was the most beautiful thing she's ever seen.

7. What is their worst memory?

The day the Daleks came.

8. What or who was were their most significant influence? Expound.

Her father. Her memories of him and her absolute conviction that he hadn't abandoned his post, that he wasn't a deserter were what shaped her and drove her as a child. As a young woman, it was his absence. The fact that she had turned him into an ideal that no man could ever hope to live up to.

9. What do they believe makes a successful life?

Finding happiness where you can. Taking time to appreciate all the tiny moments.

10. What makes them laugh?

Absurdities.

11. What are their religious views?

She's an atheist.

12. What is their greatest strength?

She's an absolute survivor. I suppose her resourcefulness would be her greatest strength.

13. Do they have a fatal flaw? If so, what is it?

Stubbornness, perhaps.

14. Who is the most important person in their life?

The Doctor was. Perhaps still is, although Jason Kane is right up there.

15. If they died, who would miss them most? How would they die?

She'd like to believe the Doctor would miss her, but she knows that he already does. Her eventual death is an inevitability, it's her leaving him that makes him mourn. Jason would miss her the most.

She'll die violently. Hopefully trying to save the universe. Hopefully succeeding.
