Ok, so the movie meme went VERY well yesterday, with only a few quotes left un-guessed. So, here are the answers to the ones no one got:

5. Now clear your minds. It knows what scares you. It has from the very beginning. Don't give it any help, it knows too much already. - Poltergeist

6. We're both stumbling around together in this unformed world, whose rules and objectives are largely unknown, seemingly indecipherable or even possibly nonexistent, always on the verge of being killed by forces that we don't understand. - eXistenZ

7. Well, ya see, I'm not saying that I've been everywhere and I've done everything, but I do know it's a pretty amazing planet we live on here, and a man would have to be some kind of FOOL to think we're alone in THIS universe. - Big Trouble in Little China (I can't BELIEVE no one got that one. For shame, flist. For shame.)

10. Hey Billy. Billy! The other day, I went up to my girlfriend, I said, "Y'know I'd like a little pussy". She said, "Me too, mine's as big as a house!" - Predator

11. Well, you're fucked up, you look like shit, but hey no problem, all you need is a better cut of cocaine. - Less Than Zero

So, there you have it. Well done everyone who participated! ;-)

*facepalms* Oh man, I should've totally gotten #6! I think it would help if I added that movie to my collection, which I should. David Cronenberg rocks my world (he's even awesome in front of the camera).

I haven't seen Big Trouble in Little China enough to quote properly from it. I bet my partner would get it if I asked... *checks* I started the quote to him and he finished it. And continued the dialogue even further. LOLs!

I was way off with #5. I've only seen that movie once and I think I was in high school at the time.

YAY for your partner being a BTiLC fan! My brother and I have watched that movie so many times it's a little bit frightening.

And yes to eXistenZ. It's one of my favorite movies EVER. I can never shut it off when it's on. Love, love, love.

My partner is an insane BTiLC fan. In fact, he was the one that got me to watch the film and Escape from New York. Interestingly, I was already acquainted with John Carpenter's work, like Halloween, The Thing, The Fog, and Starman back when I was nuts over horror films and Christopher Barnes in the television series. I just never watched his comedic works.

The best part? I'm watching it right now. And I swear to god I can quote like 75% of this movie.

And Escape from NY? A CLASSIC. I think he and I have very similar taste in movies. ;-)
