I'm BF's bitch.
Jan. 11th, 2009 11:27 pmIt's absolutely ridiculous how much Big Finish shapes my fannish life. I can't imagine for one second that I would be this obsessed with Sapphire & Steel if BF didn't do the audios. I watched all of the television assignments and enjoyed them well enough, but I tend to find watching tv shows difficult now. It never used to be that way, I used to watch TV incessantly. But now it's like a chore, no matter how much I enjoy the show. Not so with audios. I find it difficult to STOP listening to them. I've already re-listened to several of the S&S audios even though I haven't heard them all yet. I just...I just can't get enough of them.
How did I manage to go my entire life without realizing that my favorite entertainment format is that of the friggin' radio play?!?! I should have been born British.

on 2009-01-12 05:02 am (UTC)Seriously?! Like full-cast stuff? That's NOT FAIR!!! I need more audio-plays in my life. I've listened to pretty much everything BF has put out, and unless I feel like getting involved in the Tomorrow People (which I really kinda don't), I need to find other providers!

on 2009-01-12 09:28 am (UTC)back when i was wee i used to listen to as much radio drama as i could get off of NPR, which was... not much. but yeah, once i started listening to bbc radio online about five years ago i was like "YES! HEAVEN!"
i love radio4 and i love bbc7, and i LOVE the listen again feature. oh, i remember a few years ago all the main stations had listen again but not bbc7 and i would get up at 5:00 am to listen to bert coules' sherlock holmes plays.
