Waking the Dead.

I don't believe I've ever mentioned how much I love the BBC show Waking the Dead. Many years ago I started watching it when it premiered on BBC America. But that channel is always shuffling shows around and this was before I knew anything about alternative means of acquiring telly so I sorta forgot about it around S3-4. In an extremely roundabout and ridiculous way I was reminded of it again recently so I downloaded S4 to start catching up.

I LOVE THIS SHOW SO MUCH IT'S ABSURD.

It's like the best parts of CSI, Without a Trace, and whatever other US procedural you can think of all thrown in a blender and turned into something so fucking delicious. I love Boyd and Grace so much it's stupid. Trevor Eve is oddly sexy. Spense looks mad hot in a suit. Frankie is probably my favorite character in the whole damn thing and I know I'm going to miss the shit out of Mel once I hit S5. Not to mention the fact that I can't get enough of how damn grumpy everyone is all the time.

Does this show have a fandom? British flisties, is this series completely uncool to be a fan of in the UK or what? I'm so curious now. TELL ME WHAT YOU KNOW!

ETA: I give up. I want Boyd/Grace and Boyd/Frankie smut and I want it now. Why the hell can't I find anything? There is like one old comm for this show on LJ and nothing there worth looking at. Fuckin' A.

I've only discovered Waking the Dead, as a cable channel has began showing S1 recently, which means I'm still at the very early stages, but I'm already completely converted. And yes, Frankie is the greatest thing ever.

Another convert!!! Oh, man. I'm so glad to have other fans of this show on the flist. I just don't understand why I can't find any good fic! From what I've read, it gets crazy good viewing numbers, so people ARE watching it. But where's the fandom? So odd. So, so odd.

Yes! That's it exactly. The dialogue is always SO strong and the acting is fantastic. I don't understand why there's no fandom. WHY NO FANDOM?! How are people not writing a ton of porn for this show? Gah. The internets are an eternal mystery.
