That was me squeeing. I just finished listening to The Raincloud Man and my love for Big Finish and everything they do continues unabated. They ARE Doctor Who for me and I wish I had all the money in the world because I would use it to keep them going for ever and ever and ever.

Anyway.

D.I. Patricia Menzies is officially my favorite guest character in the history of ever and I would agree to just about anything if it meant getting her as Six's next companion. She made me lol no less than 10 times in the span of this one audio. The storyline is strong as usual, but it's really the characters that stand out in this one. Six and Charley's storyline seems to finally be coming to a head and Colin and India are just magical together. Add Menzies into the mix and it's sheer brilliance.

I am beside myself with love for this one. Please excuse my lack of any coherent reviewing because I've been home sick for days and am pretty out of it on cold meds. But I couldn't hold off on posting because I am exploding with glee and had to share.

ETA: The way that Six says "Charlotte" is one of the sexiest things of all time. Holy hell.

HAPPINESS PATROL IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE SERIALS EVEEEEEEEEEER. Seriously, man. I even have that one on my ipod for any and all Who-related emergencies. It's just the most brilliant 80s crackfest I've ever had the pleasure of watching. The costumes, the Kandyman, the TARDIS in pink! Oh, it's so splendid. If I had more icon space, I would SO have a kandyman icon.

As for The Girl that Never Was, HURRY UP. IMO, she and Eight had reeeeeally run their course by that time, but with Six she has a whole new life. The character is fresh again.

Oh my god, you have no idea what I would do to make that happen. I just keep begging for it on the BF forums and keep my fingers crossed. The actress seems keen and I mean...they left it open, right? I NEED HER IN THE TARDIS. Even if only for a three-story arc like what they'll be doing next year. She is JUST SO AWESOME. And her and Six are so, so adorable. When he calls her "Patricia" is pleases me more than I can say.

I'd say that they were definitely hinting at the possibility of Manzies as a companion... having her ask to go with the Doctor, given that we know he's only got three more stories with Charley left... fingers crossed!

I need to relisten to The Condemned. I really like Menzies in this one but I don't feel like she was the same Menzies as she was before. But, I don't remember The Condemned to well. T__T

I loved it when Six called her Patricia at the end!!! She should've gone w/ them!!!

I also really loved the Raincloud Man, the character. That was so interesting and brilliant!

God, you have no idea. I NEEEEEEEED her to be a companion. At least for a little while. Her and Six have such amazing chemistry I can't STAND it.
