That's it. I've had it with being grumpy fan. I learned a long time ago that if fandom wasn't fun it was a waste of my time and I'm sad that over the last few days I've kinda forgotten that lesson. So, to remind myself why I spend so much of my time obsessing over Doctor Who, and why that time is NOT a waste, I've decided to do a picspam. Why? Because picspams bring my insane amounts of joy. I've already done a bunch of Who-related picspams, so I decided to try something a little different this time. I wanted to find a pic of every single companion (book companions excepted, for obvious reasons) that was (1) not a screencap; (2) not Who-promo related; and (3) that I think really captures what I love about the actor and the character they play. I've done my best, but obviously some were a lot easier than others. Hopefully you haven't seen all of these before. And if you have any pics you like better, SHARE!

I honestly can't stand Daphne Ashbrook, but I must admit this pic is just perfect. She looks so fresh-faced and pretty.


India's got eyes like a chibi. It's absurd.




This one cracks me up. It seems so random!


Another one I had a lot of trouble choosing. She looks so forced or uncomfortable in so many of her posed shoots. In this pic, though, I think she looks genuinely happy. And that makes her 100 times sexier.


I fully support this trend of male companions taking it all off. FULLY support.


Say what you will, I love Jack. And I think Barrowman takes a DAMN fine photo.

I've seen a bunch of other shots from this set, but this one's my favorite. She looks so happy and confident. Very sexy.

So, there you have it. Companions kick ASS and I love them all. Yeah, even Adric and Grace. What can I say? I'm easy. And the Doctor has damn good taste. ;-)

That one came from the Tragical History site. Others came from a variety of bizarre google image searches and whatnot. But the TH site's "who not who" and "miscellany" category are always a GOLDMINE of crazy awesome pics.

Hmph. She didn't even get to ride in the TARDIS or anything. I refuse to consider her a companion. (Even if that pic of her and Dalek IS super hot.)

Usually more embarrassing for me than interesting to anyone watching, I'm afraid. Well, no, it's a good thing but less anecdotal.

Although a friend on mine tripped over backwards and landed on his arse in front of Colin Baker and Nicholas Courtney whilst trying to take a picture of me and CB and I was so busy a) being mortified on his behalf and b) enjoying the hug that I just left him to pick himself up whilst everyone laughed. I am a bad friend. And never got my photo. But it makes me feel better because everytime I forget how to spell my name, or blurt out 'Don't talk to me! I can't smile and talk at the same time!' I think: At least I didn't end up on the floor. Sadly all this is true.

With Sophie I totally failed at conversation because there was this little voice in my head going 'OMG you're Ace, I wanted to be you!!eleventy!!' and I was unable to form a coherent sentence for fear that it might accidentally slip out. But she was lovely to me, even if I was rubbish and monosyllabic.

That pic is SO F-ING COOL!!! Is she extraordinarily tiny or are you just very tall? I never thought of her as being small but I guess most actors are smaller than you think they are going to be.
