I just read this:
Filming on series two will begin in the summer and Ashes to Ashes will return to BBC One in 2009.

A year? A fucking YEAR?!?! Oh god, why.
I weep.

on 2008-06-25 05:28 pm (UTC)I think you might be right. I mean it certainly raises the quality in some instances, but it takes WAAAAY too long. I think a middle ground would be television perfection. Both countries should make seasons that are 12 episodes long in order to keep the quality up. I think 23-24 eps is just too much for a season and the quality tends to suffer for it. Too much of a rush job. 12 eps would be perfect. But don't leave us waiting a year in between every damn season. Air 12 eps then take a 4-5 month break. Then another 12 eps. That CAN'T be unrealistic.
I mean, clearly I know best. Why doesn't everyone LISTEN to me? ;-)
