It IS Pandora making him all evil and bastardy!!! I just finished listening to The Tartarus Gate and at the end, when Jason gets all his memories back, he says:
"Benny, he's used us all for everything he's ever wanted! But it's not him. It's not Brax. It's something else. That's why his dark reflection didn't appear, because it's him already. Something BAD inside him, a shadow of...of his past or something. I don't know, something is there squirming to get out. I've seen it."
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!! This should be AWESOME when the shit hits the fan.
