I just have a question about the discrepancy between the title being Watchmen and this group knowing themselves as the Minutemen?

My favorite part was Dr. Manhattan reflected in the astronaut's helmet. Also that gorgeous hippie girl.

The title comes from the translation of the Latin quote "Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?" It's popularly translated to "Who watches the watchmen?"... which is one of the themes of the film. These superheroes watch over us, but who watches them?

I heard that they filmed the scene with Hollis but removed it from the final cut. I think I will probably cry my eyes out when they put it back in. :'(

Do you know if the extra scenes will be from them in the present or the past?

(Also, I heard that if the movie is popular enough, they will release the longer cut in the theaters too. I would totally go!)

Dude, if they released the full length version in the theaters...yeah. I'd be there without a doubt.

I was reading an interview with the actress who played the Silhouette and she referred to a couple of scenes of her character that were being held back for the dvd. So, I'm assuming at least SOME of the added stuff will be of the original group. Which...EEEEEEEEE!!!

And yeah. The Hollis scene is SO necessary to the storyline and while I was dreading it I was also shocked it was left out. So, that would be awesome to have in there. Waiting for the dvd is killing me and this shit only came out last week. WHY DO I HAVE NO PATIENCE?

Her name is Apollonia Vanova. She's been in some other scifi stuff, but nothing I recognized her from. I thought this article (http://blastmagazine.com/the-magazine/entertainment/2009/03/watchmens-silhouette-apollonia-vanova/) was pretty interesting, though. And yeah, she's definitely beautiful.
