I'm BF's bitch.

It's absolutely ridiculous how much Big Finish shapes my fannish life. I can't imagine for one second that I would be this obsessed with Sapphire & Steel if BF didn't do the audios. I watched all of the television assignments and enjoyed them well enough, but I tend to find watching tv shows difficult now. It never used to be that way, I used to watch TV incessantly. But now it's like a chore, no matter how much I enjoy the show. Not so with audios. I find it difficult to STOP listening to them. I've already re-listened to several of the S&S audios even though I haven't heard them all yet. I just...I just can't get enough of them.

How did I manage to go my entire life without realizing that my favorite entertainment format is that of the friggin' radio play?!?! I should have been born British.

I know exactly what you mean. And then I found out that in other counties people just got to listen to radio plays on the radio. No downloading or ordering or getting fancy stuff, just turn on the radio and listen. I'm still bitter of America's complete fail in this department.

Apple has an ap that lets you listen to any radio in the world. This is the only reason I've ever wanted to get an iPod Touch or an iPhone.

Seriously?! Like full-cast stuff? That's NOT FAIR!!! I need more audio-plays in my life. I've listened to pretty much everything BF has put out, and unless I feel like getting involved in the Tomorrow People (which I really kinda don't), I need to find other providers!

The BBC does. Radio 4 is the main supplier of my radio crack. I know that there's like 2 XM channels that do full cast stuff, but it's not really enough to justify paying for XM (I don't really listen to music). Apparently in the UK the radio show never went away.

I'm so jealous.

I MUST INVESTIGATE THIS FURTHER! If there is anything scifi or cop-show related available that way I'd be in heaven.

There is. Also a lot of good comedy stuff. I don't even like sketch comedy or sitcoms, but give it to me on the radio and I love it.

I WAS SO ABOUT TO SAY THIS SAME THING.

back when i was wee i used to listen to as much radio drama as i could get off of NPR, which was... not much. but yeah, once i started listening to bbc radio online about five years ago i was like "YES! HEAVEN!"

i love radio4 and i love bbc7, and i LOVE the listen again feature. oh, i remember a few years ago all the main stations had listen again but not bbc7 and i would get up at 5:00 am to listen to bert coules' sherlock holmes plays.
