I made a shooty dog thing!!!

I love K9 sooooooooooooooo much. Best robot dog in the universe. After seeing all those awesome plush K9s that people have been making from the Who pattern book, I broke down and bought it and made one for myself. I think he came out pretty darn good considering it's been ages since I did this kind of craft work.

And this is him with my kitty, just because I am dorky like that and couldn't resist:

Now, because I also can't ever seem to resist a picspam, here is a mini one of my favorite K9 pics. Could he POSSIBLY be more adorable?! No. No, he could not.

LOVE!!!

Yay! Glad you liked it! And that book cracks me up. Such a bizarre mix of really cute and so heinous it hurts to look at it. But it would have been worth it just for the K9 pattern. If you decide to make something from it I hope you post the results.

(from crafy_tardis) What really cracks me up is that in the ads next to your post, it has a bunch of links to dog training sites!

Seriously?! That's brilliant! Oh, LJ.

Hee!

Awwww, so cute! You did such a nice job!

Thank you!

Awww how cute! Great job! But I think your cat doesn't like him, she looks a bit grumpy :D

[identity profile] elyssadc.livejournal.com 2008-02-21 09:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you! And yeah, she jumped off the couch like 2 seconds after I took the picture. The little grump. ;-)

Ha! Thank you!

Far beyond adorable.

I am now living in envy of your amazing adorable K-9. It is so cute!

[identity profile] elyssadc.livejournal.com 2008-03-19 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you! He actually lives on my desk at work now and makes me soooooo happy every time I look at him. I think everyone should have a shooty dog thing of their very own.

OMG, that's brilliant! What is this book?

[identity profile] elyssadc.livejournal.com 2008-03-19 05:56 pm (UTC)(link)
This one:

Doctor Who Pattern Book (http://www.whona.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=W&Product_Code=1083040342&Category_Code=nonfic)

It's fabulous. A few of the patterns are really cool (and if I knew how to knit, I'd be even more into it) but most are attrocious. It's worth owning just for the hilarity factor.

*headdesk*

Because I need more projects....

Any cross stitch?

[identity profile] elyssadc.livejournal.com 2008-03-19 06:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmmmmm...I really can't remember. But I'll check when I get home tonight and let you know. And hey, it's like $3! Can't beat that price. ;-)

[identity profile] wiccagirl24.livejournal.com 2008-03-19 06:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it's only $3. My problem? I have little self control, and the probability of me going onto the Who NA site and only buying a $3 book is slim.

So much shiny!

[identity profile] elyssadc.livejournal.com 2008-03-19 06:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Uh oh. Then DANGER! DANGER! Back away slowly.

[identity profile] elyssadc.livejournal.com 2008-03-19 06:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Awww, crap. You are so doomed.

[identity profile] wiccagirl24.livejournal.com 2008-03-19 07:05 pm (UTC)(link)
I can resist the TARDIS hub (I think.) But this is the first time I've found a Seven that isn't a million dollars on ebay.

If it weren't a million dollars I'd buy the cyberman waterproof shower radio.

Is the console cushion cool, or dorky? It would amuse me to make one for my dog to sleep on.

[identity profile] elyssadc.livejournal.com 2008-03-19 07:21 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't like the fabric they chose for it in the example photo, but in theory I thought it was pretty cute. The K9 stuff, the TARDIS door thingie (for mail, maybe? or shoes? I can't remember) and the felt Yeti and cybermat are my favorite patterns in the book.

I'm sorry I forgot to answer this yesterday, but there is no cross-stitch. All knitting and sewing. However, I think there might actually be a book out there totally dedicated to Who cross-stitch. Were you able to find anything like that on WhoNa? I don't think I'm making it up...
