HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!

As I've said, I really love this holiday. For me, it's never been about romantic relationships, but about ALL relationships and the people I love. My friends and I give each other treats and tacky gifts and just generally revel in the pink sparkly-ness of it all. Cheers me up to no end to have a day dedicated to love in the midst of gray, gray winter.

So, I'm sending out a little love to my flist and I hope your day is filled with happiness and chocolate!

But no holiday would be complete for me without taking the opportunity to torture the true love of my life, my beautiful baby girl, Callisto. (And don't worry, she is willing to forgive quite a bit of humiliation when provided with tuna.)

Right? It cracks me up that she'll let me do that to her, but she definitely makes her opinion known.

Your cat needs more love! *cuddles it*

Aww, thank you! She's my love muffin. And I hope you had some cuddles today too. ;-)

You can practically see the laser-beams shooting from her eyes. Cats can be so expressive sometimes! I'll never forget the look on my female cat's face when I brought home a kitten. It was such utter disgust, so clearly, "I cannot believe you brought that thing into my house!"

I can't believe I missed this comment before. Sorry about that.

It kills me! Everyone recognizes that dogs are super expressive, but cats have so many more ways of displaying disgust and wounded pride than a dog. Probably even more than a human being. They raise looks of disdain to an artform.
