I've been grumpy as hell the last few days. No real reason. But I got bored and decided to look through the 8 bazzillion pictures I have stored on my harddrive. What did I discover? Well, I discovered that I have an incredibly odd assortment of pictures of extremely cute animals and I don't have ANY idea where they came from. Not that it matters because...CUTE ANIMALS!

So, that being said, I figured I would share them with you here because we could ALL use more cute animals in our lives.

OMG YOU ARE HUGGING A SHARK YOU ARE SO AWESOME!!!!!!! if it was a manta ray i would be like "you stole my life's ambition nooooooo" but i do think it would be very hard to hug a ray. sharks are cylindrically huggable, hurrah!

it is way less awesome but guess who was holding and petting some sugar gliders a month ago? ME, YEAH. a friend's daughter keeps them and so i got to pet them and feed them mealworms, yay.

I've hugged rays, but those things bite! When my cousin and I were getting scuba certified, I actually had to beat one off of her and it left a big round scar on her arm. Fucking rays.

But I am VERY jealous of your hugging sugar gliders! I have a life goal to hug at least one member of every possible species that won't either try to eat me or otherwise kill me in response.

The story behind the shark pic is that I was in Belize and we were snorkeling (this was before I got scuba certified) and the dude who took us out was crazy. He had NO problem just grabbing rays and sharks and shit and playing with them. The animals seemed REALLY used to him and kept coming back for more. So, once we saw how chill they were, I asked if I could hug one and he said sure! So, I hugged it and it didn't seem to mind at all and he even managed to snap the pic. It was BRILLIANT.

Baby sloth! The baby animals are all cute but the baby sloth is my favorite. It just looks so small and sleepy! :D
