I am in the middle of rewatching Mind of Evil for a Jo Grant squee post over on trap_one and do you know what I've discovered? I've discovered that I officially think Delgado!Master is one of the sexiest motherfuckers in the history of television. HOLY SHIT that man is scorchingly hot. When he first shows up and takes the mask off and then starts smoothing down his hair? ::ROWR:: And then, sitting in the back of the car smoking a cigar? Don't even get me started about how scorchingly sexy it is when he dominates the Chinese soldier lady's mind. Fuck. Me. And that's all within just a few minutes!!! Good god, people. Those gloves, that attitude, that accent, HE'S SO DAMN SUAVE! I love him. I really, really ♥ him. I want him to do dirty, dirty things to me as part of some kind of bizarre and overly complicated scheme to take over the world and punish the Doctor for ever breaking up with him. LOOK AT THIS MAN!

The Doctor must have superhuman discipline to resist jumping him each time Delgado!Master shows up, for I quite agree, he's scorchingly hot, and I'm normally not pro-bearded men, either.

This totally explains why he lets the Master do all the chasing in that era. Although, the duel in Sea Devils was a blatant hint that the anticipation has gone on long enough...
